We therefore offer apprenticeships as a Mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology (m/f/d) every year.
In three and a half years, we will train you at HHLA's container terminals to become an expert for refrigerated containers and air conditioning units in buildings and vehicles. The school-based part of the training takes place at BS 19 (Farmsen Vocational School for Media and Technology) in block instructions. The training scheme starts on August 1 each year.
Food, medicines and other temperature-sensitive goods require special transportation and storage, which is ensured by air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Their maintenance and installation require specialist knowledge.
Air conditioning systems are being installed in more and more office and commercial spaces to enable productive work even at high temperatures. Digitalization is also creating a high dynamism in the field of refrigeration technology. Refrigeration and air conditioning technology requires specialist knowledge and at the same time offers very good employment opportunities for trained specialists.
Are you passionate about technology, skilled in manual work, careful and have good eye-hand coordination? Then this cool apprenticeship might be just the thing for you. At least a good secondary school certificate, especially in the subjects of mathematics and physics, is required. You should be a team player and be willing to work outdoors at all times of the year and at varying times. Also important: you should be able to cope with heights, so that you can also work on high buildings and handling equipment.
